Treatment goals are set in collaboration with clients and sessions may include some of the following :

  • General Psychological Education
  • Anxiety/Stress Management Techniques and Relaxation Training
  • Thinking and Imagery Awareness and Restructuring
  • Graded Exposure to Feared Situations
  • Appropriate and Manageable Goal Setting
  • Problem Solving Skills
  • Assertiveness Training and Effective Management of Emotions
  • Behavioural Experiments


On average, clients attend for six to ten sessions each of which lasts for a period of one hour. Sessions are generally on a fortnightly basis with a follow-up appointment at three months to ensure that progress is maintained.
